Christmas with the Bitterroot Burkharts

T'was the night before Christmas, and all through the house, not a creature was stirring.... not even Benjamin!
He actually went directly to bed when asked and had not moved a muscle when we checked in on him. He wanted Christmas to come as quickly as possible!
Because Ben had started a Lego project on Christmas Eve, he went directly back to finish it before waking us up! We were pleasantly surprised to hear him at 9:30am!
He had a rather unorthodox stocking technique. I don't know how you like to go about it, but he aimed for speed and efficiency when emptying his sock!
The Cuddy tradition holds that everything is opened on Christmas Eve; crossing your fingers that you are on Santa's "Good List" for Christmas morning loot. Therefore, Ben got to open Grammie and Papa Cuddy gifts the night before. As you can see, we had to twist his arm.
He was pretty much shaking from that much excitement.

He is, both, a superhero AND a Lego building machine!

Wrapping paper was flying all over the place!

It is hard to photograph the blur of excitement. It was like watching a pack of wolves on a fresh kill after a famine!

Christmas day was a super fun adventure! Thank you, friends and family, for all of the thoughtful gifts and for your love and support throughout the year! Merry Christmas!

  1. Wow, that little superhero-spaceman-masterbuilder got enough to keep him busy for at least a day or two!
Pretty cute, too- he must have been feeling photogenic in addition to his generosity with the household sleep ;)

  2. Thanks for sharing Ben's Christmas. It's so much fun to see his joy with all those cool gifts!
