Happy Four-O David!

... or should I say, Dr. Sanderson!?! David is on stage on his fortieth birthday (playing a 28-year old, and very much looking the part, I might add)! He was cast as a psychiatrist, Dr. Lyman Sanderson, in the Hamilton Players production of "Harvey". He is having a blast!
His stardom has become the theme of his birthday celebration. We will sing to him and give him his gift, and then celebrate him with applause at the theater as well.
Our Easter decorations have taken on a bit of a "Pooka" appearance.  An opening night cigar gift awaits the cast party after David's last show as a psychiatrist.
Plates and napkins are ready for the strawberry-rhubarb pie and crisp that I baked today.
I admit, some of these decorations were purchased for an Oscar's party I once hostessed in Spokane years ago. Who knew that I would marry a famous actor!?!
These comedy and tragedy masks are new. I think we may leave these up after the candles are blown out. They may adorn our wall for years to come.
The Missoulian ran review of the performance in the paper today (left). Harvey is having a martini to celebrate a very successful opening weekend!
Happy Birthday, David!!!
You are so loved, you talented, smart, fun, funny, handsome, wonderful man!!!

  1. After 40 years on this great green earth I can honestly say I am a truly happy man. I am so lucky to have a such a wonderful wife, family, home and career. Finding a new passion in theater acting makes me feel younger than I have in years and I have Julie to thank for encouraging me to finally give it a try! I cannot thank you enough for all your love and support!

  2. The play was awesome, David. I am so glad you have found a hobby that you really love! Julie's birthday decorations were very clever, as always. Happy 40th birthday! It was a wonderful weekend with everyone!
