Get Well Wishes for Rylee

Rylee is Benjamin's cousin. She recently had to have a pretty invasive corrective surgery to help her with walking. We are thinking of you, Rylee! We know healing and getting strong is hard work. We are wishing you the very best and quickest recovery possible!

Where is Benjamin? He is hiding and giggling. Do you see him? Ben and I made this sign for you, Rylee, after looking at your stripy casts on Grandma's blog post (click here).

Ben can't really read upside down, but he is pretending because he knows what it says. He is saying, "Feel All Better, Rylee. We love you!".

A Break in the Weather

David said, "Hurry, let's roast some hot dogs before it rains again!". We all thought that was a pretty good idea. Ben ate his bun separately, but roasted and ate his very own beef frank!

We had little breaks in the wet weather and we got out and enjoyed it! Ben didn't care if he was getting wet or not. The rain came and went, off and on, all day long. Ben ran around, with and without his umbrella, just as happy as could be.

Ben loves rainbows. He got to see a great one yesterday! It was a full double rainbow and it was closer than we have ever seen one!

We get to see some beautiful things here in the Bitterroot Valley. With any luck, a little sunshine, and a little weeding, there will be six blooms on my Bitterroot very soon!

The Big Push Mower

Hey, what is this thing doing in here!?

This belongs outside!

(Yes, he really pushed it out of the garage himself!)

He was determined to keep going but, once it reached the gravel, he needed a little help. At only 2.7 years old, we really don't blame him.

He said, "Come on. I need help, Dad, to turn it on".

The fellas both stood behind Ben's good intentions.

Corby's Wee Donkey Ranch

Ben was invited to come meet the baby donkeys at Corby's Wee Donkey Ranch today!
(Thank You Cris!)
Ben LOVED meeting these sweet critters! They are too young to have teeth or be ornery, Ben was allowed to get as close as he wanted.

We got to see Ben's friend, Codie, there too!

We all got to pet the youngest donkey on the ranch; a downy-soft, 3-day old baby!

We got to pet the big critters on the ranch too.

It was so nice of Sandy and Harry to have us all out to the ranch. These folks have a beautiful ranch and lots of beautiful, well-cared for animals.

Ben was just amazed!

Ben told us, "Wow, this is pretty interesting, huh?!".

The nice ol' farm dog even got a kiss.

We also went over to meet Codie's horses. Although I didn't get as many pictures there, the MD Ranch is pretty amazing too! They do boarding, offer training, sell horse and more. Ben was pretty impressed, even though he was a little intimidated by the big horses.

He found one just his size to ride, though.

The Dynamic Duo; Day Two

The favorite "Pick Up Pine Cones" game just never gets old!
Our little Tree-Hugger loved having his friend, Codie, to play pine cone games with again.

These little artists made the patio, their coats, some dog toys and their cheeks even more beautiful with chalky scribbles.

There was a lot of "Whheeeeee!" echoing through the air today.

They ran back to get on the slide almost as fast as they slid down it.

There were two slides, but the best one is always the one the other kid is on.

We had many a chorus of "Row, Row, Row Your Boat" on dry land.

Codie found a little white moth... er... I mean "butterfly"... and she almost touched it!

I am pretty sure this little girl is going to be a veteranarian when she grows up. She LOVES animals.

Play dough time was fun, but Ben decided that it was too tasty.

We are the proud owners of some original artwork from this creative artistic team. It is a mixed media sticker-paint-chalk-crayon masterpiece.

We baked cookies together. The kids each added ingredients, helped set the timer and performed some essential taste-testing. We baked enough for Codie to take some home.
We will miss you little cutie! You sure were fun to have over for a couple of days!
